I think your translations sound great myself, but thank you! *^^* I'm getting better at making smoother translations - the more confident I get of my Japanese comprehension, the more comfortable I am straying from the literal. And moreso with lyrics, since their meaning tends to be vague anyway ^^; Also I've taken to going to the English thesaurus when the J-E dictionaries aren't offering anything that sounds quite right; since most words aren't exact in meaning anyway there's a lot of wiggle-room.
