I had less trouble with it in TFA -- in part because the movie was so fast-paced it didn't give you time to contemplate it; but also because it still ended with a sense of hope -- that maybe Han's death would have some impact, and Luke and Leia were still there to carry on the fight. But this movie took the effort to ensure that any chance of a legacy for them was ground to dust.

It's hard to say it's not Star Wars, when the prequel movies are Star Wars too? And taken as a whole I think the movies are going to be the Rise and Fall and End of the Skywalker line, which is suitably epic. But yeah...it's not the story I want.
