GB: end of an era

For those of us who still attend the First Church of BanGin - all good things must come to an end...and the GetBackers manga just did yesterday.

And I am thrilled to report that despite my fears about A&A-sensei, they came through. Super-super-happy ending, for the WIN.

I've only been haphazardly following the series, flipping through the weekly Shounen Mag chapters without trying to read them (trying to translate GB hurts my brain, yo. And my eyes, all those little kanji...) and sporadically checking the translations folks have been posting on getbackers. So I don't actually know what's going on - Ginji became 'god', went to an alternate (the real) universe and met his mom and discovered he'd died a long time before, Ban was going to vanish from existence from having used the Jagan more than thrice a day...yeah. Hurts my brain. So I don't know exactly how they got to this ending.

But sometimes pictures speak louder than words. So, yes. Happi endo!!

My only regret is that Shido & Madoka didn't actually tie the knot. But hey! MakubeX is out and about! And has become a GitS fanboy!



Hevn is going to spend her ever after with Masaki (much to Ban's immense dismay.)


Masaki is saying "Mine!" in response to Ban's attempt to glom onto his sweetie's bosum last panel.

And because I know you all are dying to know, does The Superhappy Ending mean that Emishi & Amon open a maid cafe together?
The answer is Yes. Yes, it does.

I've never read the GB manga, myself but it is nice to see how the manga ended. The ending they gave te GB anime is quite similar to the manga ending. I note some similarities. I really wish that they would have epanded the anime more so that it fit in the other archs but I'm hoping for a GetBackers movie or ova. ^^ Hopefully there will be one somewhere down the line!!

OMG!!!!!!!! They almost make me cry!!!! I can´t love the Get Backers more!!! I´m so sad they ended but it seems like a "To be continued..." (just like the anime end) any way I like to think that they´ll be back in the future =,)

Well Ginji is the god of this world and can do what he want! Whoa, to have a god like Ginji is awesome! But looks like they still have their own powers and Ginji seems to have raitei's power and not raitei's self anymore ! And Ban is still strong! But how strong Ginji became? As strong as Ban or stronger? Well I am sad to be trhough with the series but every beginning has its own end! So Get Backers Too! The fact that Kazuki is wearing glasses could be an answer for when he pulled his eye out. I believe earlier it was mentioned that she couldn't see very well. That's my theory at least.

Well I don't know! What they will with Ginji and his world? I dunno, maybe making him seeing his mom again . It'll be Good!

I am confused, I thought the limitless fortress was the tall group of buildings to the right of the page and it still stands. Am I wrong or did I make a misinterpretation what you were trying to say.

Hmm. I was thinking that wasn't the Infinite Fortress but regular skyscrapers in its place, since they look a lot brighter and less forboding than Mugenjou usually does. But I could be mistaken. Maybe it's just a happy Mugenjou!
