on (my) One (True Manga Love) Piece

Caught up with the anime with the sibs (to ep 601) and then out of impatience caught up with the manga (to the just-out ch.712) and this series is still ridiculous and too long and so shounen it hurts (...especially for Sanji in the last chapter, ow) and the latest arcs haven't been quite up to Water 7's standards, but I still love it forever and endlessly.

In addition to my adoration for everyone else I now also am madly in love with Trafalgar Law. (Well, I was before. But moreso after Punk Hazard. His interactions with the Strawhats are amazing "You understand that your definition of 'alliance' and his are different, right?" and he's super-hot by OP's very special standards.)

(What's up with his hat, though - why does it keep matching Chopper's style? Is there some special fashion trendsetter for doctor's hats on the Grand Line???)

But for the love of little fishes WHEN ARE WE GOING TO MEET VEGAPUNK, ALREADY???

He's just so--so--so in the wrong series! Despite his wacky powers, Law is so much more serious a pirate, he has no idea what he's in for with Luffy...

(There is a part of me worried that he might actually betray Luffy...Luffy's pretty much never been wrong about anyone he's put his faith in, but then no one could die in OP's present until Ace, so...please let Law not be the exception!)

OMG!!! FLAIL!!! I have become so in love with Law since Punk Hazard. I love the whole scene of Chopper being put on his head and him having to carry Chopper around. And Luffy is made of so much win right now. I love his whole Luffyish attitude towards everything so much. I want to know when we are going to see more of Dragon. (And now I'm wondering if Donflamingo is Sabo...)

(sorry, I was going to agree that Chopper on Law's head is amazing but then you broke my brain with the Sabo thing - after the most recent revelation about Doflamingo's past...and he is blond...and always wears the shades so you can't see his eyes...I don't thiiiink that's where it's going (especially as while Sabo's parents were nobility I don't think they were actually Tenryuubito?) but wow the mindscrew...!)

I was going to bring up the Chopper on head scene, too. Love it so much. I love (a) Law's expression while everyone else is cracking up and (b) the fact that in the next panel, completely without comment, Chopper has been adjusted so he's dangling off a pole, which looks way cooler and achieves the same purpose. LAWWWWW ^_^ ^_^

SORRY!!! I didn't mean to break any brains, but after the last panel in CH 712 my brain immediately went "wait, he's blond, and Sabo was royalty which was close to the Tenryuubito, maybe?" And then I thought, maybe he was picked up by the Tenryuubito instead of Dragon, or maybe he is working for Dragon as a spy on the Tenryuubito and World Government? Sorry my mind goes really strange places...

Hmmm...I think Law's current experiences with the Strawhat crew mirror the brain breakage I have caused here. It seems like consistently he keeps having these "WTF?" experiences with the way the crew treats him (Chopper on his head) and the way the crew reacts to everything (Luffy, 'nuff said). I also really wonder what happened to Bonney...

Hee - if I didn't want my brain broken I wouldn't read OP! XD It just hadn't occurred to me about Sabo (you'd think it would've, after all the time I spent wondering if Law were related to him somehow, but...!)
