obsession (for writers)

I either had a very productive or very unproductive day...had several things I meant to do (manga to draw, emails to write, dishes to wash before they attract the Scary Giant Cockroaches from Hell that apparently infest most of Japan in the summer and of which I might have spotted one this morning, Oh Joy) and instead I forwent all of it (and eating, and getting dressed...) to write for 8 straight hours. Got in some 6,000 words of my story for [livejournal.com profile] bb_shousetsu, just the final makeup nookie to go. ...Yes, I'm writing original BL for Shousetsu Bang*Bang. Yes, this means X-parrot is writing sex scenes. Absurd seemingly-non-con-but-it's-really-not rough sex, amidst totally cheesy fight shounen yaoi antics. Run and hide, world. Run and hide.

Okay, so I love Bang*Bang. Knowing there's going to be a story in there by you? Makes me love it even more! I can't wait to see the issue! I wonder if I'm going to be able to identify which one is yours!

Hee, well, I'm definitely gonna be using a stupid pseudonym...don't know if I'd want anyone to know I wrote this thing! really it's meant to be light and goofy (it's something of a parody of something seen a lot in dj) but it's the kind of thing that if analyzed too closely one might assume I'm vaguely disturbed... ^^;

Heh

You know I didn't even know you had a livejournal... either that or I must have missed it but I thought I'd stop in and say hi anyways. Since I'm one of those people who really love your One Piece fanfics.

So you live in Japan huh? Meh I bet it's not so bad. After all those cockroaches infest all cities. It does suck though.

So how is it in Japan exactly? I've been reading up on it lately and well I would think anyone who hasn't lived there their whole lives would find the changes very difficult.

Hi~! Glad you like the fic ^^ Welcome to the random absurdity that is my lj...

And Japan...I'm loving it here myself, but then things are a bit different for me than some; I'm living here with my sister, so I'm not lonely. And both of us know a little Japanese, so we can manage. It'd be more difficult if we didn't know the language at all, I think. For me, I'm finding the biggest culture shock is not actually in changing countries but changing environments - I've been a small-town girl since I was 6, so living in a real city is a whole new world. Even a city as relatively small as Kyoto is a big deal for me - I couldn't manage Tokyo, it'd be too overwhelming! But Kyoto is great (And we haven't gotten too many roaches so far...*knock on wood. Loudly!*)
