FMA fic

So there's been a recent surge of English Fullmetal Alchemist fic. Well-written FMA fic - very young fandoms often attract talent, I've noticed. Or maybe it's because there's less existing cliches to exploit? Or not having an established fanon take on the chars means everyone follows the canon characterizations more faithfully?

Anyway. I wasn't expecting to get into FMA fic. I especially wasn't intending to write any. The last thing I need is another fandom to fic for. But you know what they say about good intentions...

Read "All That Is Not Forgotten" on AO3

Oh xparrot...you always write so well!

You always seem to capture the essence of the characters to the point that its cannon.

(I started reading your fics way back from your Gravitation days)

If you need any manga for inspiration, I'd be happy to supply scans *will supply inspiration for more FMA fics*

Keep up the good work!

hee - a long-term stalker fan! glad you enjoyed it. And thanks muchly for the offer but my manga is in the mail, should be here any day now (not that I can read half of it anyway ^^;;;;)

I fear it just might inspire me to write more, too...

its funny how I keep running into the same people in different fandoms...

You won't be disappointed with the manga. They've adapted some things for the anime that I think was better portrayed in the manga (like Roy meeting Ed and Al for the first time).

Hopefully my manga guide will come tomorrow so I can have post character bios. That should help some people (as well as clear up the spelling of some of the names).

Looking foward to more fics :)
