I have committed McShep again--just over 500 words, this time. Spoilers for "Kindred, Part 1" (none for part 2)...just a passing thought about one bit in the beginning of the ep. Slashy implications, really rather silly.

Even after three years, Rodney's pre-siege video letter to home remained one of the top ten most downloaded files on the Atlantis server. Many a new scientist to Pegasus, after their first mistake and the inevitable reprimand from the head of science, had been calmed from hyperventilation or tears by a colleague whispering a well-timed, "A subject that is both near and dear to my heart: leadership..."

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a fic in a long time. And I think it’s so funny because it seems so plausible. Poor Rodney! : )

Great job on this, I just accidentally read a rather disturbing fic and needed something to cheer me up. This completely did the trick! Thank you, I owe you my renewed content state of mind.

Glad you liked it! I've been thinking that the letter was uploaded to the city server since I saw M&MM.

And I know just what you mean, about needing a palate cleanser after a dark-fic, so I'm happy I could help!
