SGA ficlet: Horror Movie Blues

(Why didn't anyone tell me that Newsies is one of the deliciously slashiest movies ever put on film? Really now, I feel the fangirl collective has failed me in not bringing this to my attention sooner. Turn-of-the-century street urchins in love, can you get more adorable? (Well, yes, you could also subscribe to [livejournal.com profile] chandri's McShep fusion idea. Which so needs to happen, because, seriously. The cowboy and the "mouth with a brain". It's almost too perfect!))

Finally managed something chipper! For [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic's comfort challenge, a quick & dirty silly "Whispers" tag. Follow the link to fluffy slash, hardly a smidge of genuine angst, just beer.

SGA: Horror Movie Blues {~1,500 words}
PG-13, McShep, tag to 5x07: "Whispers
Post-mission, John's a bit freaked out, but Rodney's there for him.

The weird thing is that it was my second grade best friend's favorite movie -- she was, ahem, intending to marry Christian Bale -- but I didn't see it myself until college. Yet despite that I just can't hear Christian Bale's name without thinking of Newsies, thanks to seven-year-old Sara...

And your icon reminds me that last week I finally saw the first couple episodes of the new Doctor Who. Love...!! *_* (Although I was initially confused as to the absence of this David Tennant I had heard so much about. I was seriously convinced through quite a bit of the first episode that Christopher Eccleston wasn't actually the Doctor but was instead some bizarre imposter or something...)

Heee, yay for Doctor Who! (and um, yes, the multiple Doctors an be a bit confusing...and Chris Ecclestone's Ninth Doctor is awesome and fun and should be enjoyed, but *my* Doctor is most decidedly Ten!)
