In Smallville, has Clark ever knelt before anyone except for Zod!Lex (excepting times that kryptonite dropped him to his knees)?

Just curious...er, don't ask, there's no way this will make sense unless you're familiar with a certain high fantasy.

Lex could so be a meikun, with the proper motivation...and Clark would make such a pretty kirin...I am so getting gnine to draw me this!

Juuni Kokki, "Twelve Kingdoms" - gorgeously done high fantasy; if you have any interest in fantasy (whether or not you like anime) I can't recommend it highly enough. It starts out on the slow side but it sweeps you away. Magnificent world-building, characters who evolve in amazing ways; also the cutest talking giant-mouse-person ever - no, really, Rakushun is reason enough to watch it all by himself ^^

Well, he got down on at least one knee when he proposed to Lana in 'Reckoning' before the big do-over.

I know next to nothing about anime, but I think Clark was kneeling before (or at least adjacent to) Lana another time, when he was fixing the pipes under the sink at the Talon. He ended up really wet, too.

This isn't really about anime as a whole, just one particular series with a fascinating magical dynamic...

Hmmmm, naw, that wouldn't count. It's really not about kneeling but about bowing, with the respect that implies...a kirin can only bow to their emperor (as in, they physically cannot lower their head in a gesture of respect to anyone else, even if they want to) but they can get down on their knees to talk to small people and such without trouble. Clark kneeling to Lana to propose is something of an issue, though...

YAY for Junikokuki♥ My sis and I adore those magnificent novels for ages! X) Of course I watched the anime too. I think NHK almost did a great job although some tv-original characters messed up the story little bit and the lack of some of my favorite scenes. Yeah I know I'm a bitch of the originals...

Anyway I'm eager to see Lex as shujo! Hee! He would do very interesting king thing, yes. Clark must have had hard work to keep his king walking the line though. *g*

Ahhh I want to read the novels!! My Japanese is sadly way too low for that (all those kanji! こわい!) though they're going to be translated into English now, so I'll get to read them! Eventually! I usually like the original novels or manga more than movies or TV shows...but for now I've only seen the anime. (and it is a very lovely anime! And has some of my favorite seiyuu, too...Yamaguchi Kappei! <3)

Yeah, Clark would have a difficult time of it...but Lex would make an amazing emperor, if he had Clark to keep him in check...!

Oh, do you and your sister fan together as well? I always love seeing other fanning families ^_^ Does she also share your love for Smallville? I've met almost NO ONE in Japan who's even heard of it, let alone liked it -_- I want doujinshi! *sigh*

And Lex truly would make the best emperor (shujo?), especially with Clark there to keep him in line ^_^ Really do need to go draw kirin!Clark.
