So I knew that David Hewlett was in this movie Century Hotel (which I have utterly failed to obtain) in which he played a gay man having an affair. In a hotel. Um, something like that. (ETA: the entire DH scene is on youtube here.)

What I didn't realize until just this moment that the guy he was playing opposite was Joel Bissonnette, which doesn't mean anything unless you happen to have watched SciFi Channel's The Invisible Man (many, many times - that show rocked), in which case Joel Bissonnette is better known as evil Swiss genius cum supervillain Dr. Arnaud de Fehrn.

So. In his younger days, Dr. Rodney McKay had a torrid affair with Arnaud.

And there's pictorial evidence to prove it.

Joe is like... wah! there. I want to take him home and cuddle him. He really IS that cute there! He's 26 or 27 there so whenever I read some AU fics where he meets Rodney at the U or something like that, I can see what he would look like :)

I'd seen a couple screencaps but never the cast! I've got a terrible memory for faces but a decent one for names...and "Bissonnette" is hard to forget!

It's harder to recognize from the 'caps, but if you watch the scene it's obvious...except he's not doing his sexy evil Swiss accent! The char is manipulative, though, and DH's char is uncertain and longing and even if it is set in the '40s it works too well ^^;

Definitely a fan - I've got season one on dvd and if they'd just get around to releasing the second one I'd be a happy camper.

I think I've got a soft spot with shows that have banter between the leading men. :)

OMG! I loved The Invisible Man and Arnaud was an awesomely snarky genius and the only thing better than one snarky genius is two of them.
