SV Fic: The Best Laid Schemes

I have spent the last few months trapped behind one of the worst writing blocks it's been my misfortune to encounter. Am finally, finally feeling like I might be chipping my way through it - hopefully to really get going on my help_haiti fics (omg I am so sorry, I have not forgotten, I swear! orz). In the meantime I am latching on like a leech to the slightest bit of inspiration that comes my way, and the latest Identical story seems to have stirred up my Clex fangirl (not difficult, she's never deeply buried.)

So, here's a new story in the Subterfuge universe, my fluffy future fic AU (and this addition rates a feather-tucked-into-a-cottonball on the Lint Scale of WAFF.)

Even the best superheroes and -villains can't cover every contingency; sometimes things just go awry.

There's actually quite a number of SV fics set in the future with Kon (I mean he IS the canonical love child of the Clark and Lex...bahahaha, oh DC...LOL) But this is my favorite series with him (okay, I may be biased...but they really are FUN! ^_^)

Heh, er, well, I don't actually read the comics (I should, I've heard!), and also the fic is kind of a wacky AU, so my Kon is not at all the Kon ^^;;;

Another story in this verse, yay! Between you and Lanning, this is like Old Home Week for Clexers, and I can't tell you how much it does my heart good to see more adventures for this OTP :)

Wow, what a great read! I hadn't read Freefalling before and it was just excellent - I could really feel Lex's pain in the aftermath of the 'death' of Superman. And it was lovely to see the Kents step forward and let go of their old grudges in order to help. Wonderful!

And then there's your new story, which I liked every bit as much if not more. I really like your Connor, with his teenage bravado and painful puns but a heart of gold. The confrontation with Toyman was fun and then you shocked me when Lex nearly didn't make it out in time. Loved everything!

Thank you! I have way too much fun with this version of Lex, and Clark and Conner too, so I'm thrilled to know something else does as well ^_^ (and aww, yeah, I'll never get tired of the Kents taking caring of Lex ^^)

I really love this! That Con can't keeps up his act when Lex is hurt and how he eavesdrops on the tender moment between his Dads at the hospital. So lovely. And Toyman is perfectly characterized as well.

*grins* I'm so happy to see something new in this verse! I reread all the old stories then happily devoured this one. I love the complex feelings Lex has about being a father and the interesting family dynamic. *hugs*
