Hee, actually Fear Itself has some of the best Loki - but only in the Journey into Mystery tie-ins; JiM: Fear Itself is the beginning of the current JiM run; I personally think it's quite superior to the main Fear Itself storyline, which I wasn't so enamored of (but then I didn't know most of the other chars involved so wasn't that invested?)
And yeah...I don't know if I'd have liked Loki all that much if I'd just encountered his usual comics villain self, but between the movies and kid!Loki I am pretty mad in love right now ^_^
