The awesome [livejournal.com profile] librarychick_94 podficced my SGA story "Out in the Open" for Podfic Big Bang - at over 20K words that's quite the podfic, almost 2 hours long! You can listen to it here:

Stargate Atlantis: Out in the Open

(It reminded me of how much I enjoyed SGA. Any good team gen and/or McShep epics come out in the last year?)

Also, if you haven't checked out xkcd - Time you really should, even if you don't know xcd. An animation released one frame an hour for the last 5 months, it ended at 3,099 frames, telling a deceptively simple story that now has its own fandom, its own wikipedia page, and a secret language that no one's yet been able to crack. Its elaborate backstory is explained (with spoilers) here, though a lot of it's actually revealed in the comic itself (at least, for those people who can read the stars well enough to be able to accurately date by them, because yeah, he plotted out the proper star patterns for 11 millennia in the future).

What I want to know is, when is Randall Munroe going to team up with Andrew Hussie and bring about the webcomic apocalypse (comigeddon?) and/or Golden Age - or have they secretly done so? Are we already living in the new world they created? Has anyone been feeling particularly pixellated of late?

[livejournal.com profile] reena_jenkins podficced my Avengers/Project Runway crackfic, Loki Runway, with awesome voices!

Go, listen and delight! \o/

Also, OTW is holding its first membership drive of the year!

Fandom Is Love: Organization for Transformative Works Membership Drive, April 3-9

If you're curious where your money would be going, here's an explanation of AO3's annual costs - owning the servers is awesome but doesn't come cheap!

I've been a volunteer at OTW/AO3 for 4 years now, and I have never met a more diverse and more committed group of fans; we come from all kinds of fandoms, and the one thing we all have in common is that we're all dedicated to putting all resources into making the Org the best it can be, to serve as much as fandom as well as possible.

And if you're like to donate time - volunteering will re-open later this month. Become a tag wrangler! See the world (of tags)! Engage in serious discussions over whether the canonical should be Cock Blocking, Cock-blocking or (as it turned out due to majority rule) Cockblocking! :D

I have finished Tiger Hunt! And it only took me...less than 8 years! I will take that as a win.

Tiger Hunt (62214 words) by faviconXparrot
Chapters: 24/24
Fandom: One Piece
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Characters: Roronoa Zoro, Monkey D. Luffy, Nami (One Piece), Usopp, Sanji (One Piece), Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Other(s)
Summary: A rainy night, an unexpected threat, a desperate crew. And Zoro has never been so lost.

(also available on ff.net, but the whole site's been acting up lately - took me a couple tries to login before posting, and I think it might've lost or refused to post some reviews for a time >.< not to mention the formatting is all buggered up due to their burning hatred of double dashes and scene breaks, so yeah, I'd recommend reading on AO3 where it's all nice and pretty and you can easily read it on one page or download it to your reader/phone, whatever you like!)

Also, I am awfully belated in linking this, but last year the lovely [livejournal.com profile] kalakirya went and podficced half my MUNCLE fic! Her masterlist can be found here; they're also linked from the stories themselves on my AO3 account.

The awesome [livejournal.com profile] regonym has podficced my SGA/Pern sequel story "With Healing in His Wings" - she's got a lovely clear voice, it's a great listen:

"With Healing in His Wings" podfic by Regonym
40:00 (14.5 MB, m4b; 16.0 MB, mp3)

(She also manages to pronounce "Kyohtt Hold" exactly right, with no prompting on my part. Which is a trip, because that was a little personal pun - natives of Kyoto tend to drop the final "o" when they pronounce their city's name, so it sounds just like "Kyohtt"...)

The inestimable [livejournal.com profile] jadesfire2808 has already podficced the first story here!

Because [livejournal.com profile] jadesfire2808 is teh awesome, she recorded a podfic for my latest fic, "Unaccepted". Really worth a listen, if that's your sort of thing - the story's very dialogue-heavy and she does an utterly fantastic job with the voices, angst and all. I love how she reads Rodney especially, and she makes Keller sound so cute!

Podfic: "Unaccepted", read by Jadesfire
tag to "The Shrine", Teyla/Kanaan & John/Rodney implications

And the delightful [livejournal.com profile] danceswithgary posted a DVD commentary for my Smallville futurefic "This Mortal Coil" - of my Clex fics, this is one of the ones I'm fondest of, so her take on it was wonderful to read - thank you!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] urania_2006, there's now a podfic of my McShep flashfic "Speech Deprived," the one where Rodney loses his voice, and John's not as happy as might be expected - check it out here! And be sure to mention to [livejournal.com profile] urania_2006 that she is awesome.

And the lovely [livejournal.com profile] hils did a DVD commentary for my little Smallville dark-fic "Promises to Keep" - nifty, and terribly flattering, thank you! (Anyone else find it odd that we call them DVD commentaries, with no discs in sight? ...No? Carry on, then!)

On season 3 of Traders - the show's getting dark(er) - that's the problem with these kinds of dramas, they always have to keep pushing the envelope, do increasingly worse things to the chars, or have the chars do increasingly worse things, to keep the stories interesting. This is why I tend to fan more avidly on the status quo shows - no, there's not a lot of character development in SGA, but they started out pretty good guys, and they've stayed that way (give or take the occasional and soon-forgotten moral hiccup), and I like it like that. Though the unspooling dramas do have their train-wreck appeal. ...Also I am getting the urge to do a pic-spam of all the Grant hugs. Because there are a lot of them, and where else are you going to get a younger DH glomping people, and guys stroking his hair? (Stroking his hair! So jealous!)

The absolutely fabulous [livejournal.com profile] jadesfire2808 recorded a podfic for my SGA/Pern fusion of doom, "On the Wings of Imagination" - my first podfic! And it's a delight to listen to, she's got a fantastic voice (okay, I'm biased, I don't listen to many podfic/books-on-tape, but when I do I prefer to be read to in lovely British accents. And she makes my silly story sound so professional and awesome and Rodney's sarcasm is perfect!)

Download it here or at Jadesfire's lj here (complete with outtake that makes me blush like a blushy thing)

(And be sure to mention to [livejournal.com profile] jadesfire2808 that she's fabulous!)
