Am very curious what happened to Carlos, is he trapped in the House, or what - but CECIL! CECIL! We've never had a Cecil-less ep, I don't know how to take this! What could they have done with him? If he'd gotten away they would've been searching, so presumably he is captured...but then why isn't Strex showing off their acquisition? Are they processing him somehow? What is happening? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! (This show is so stressful now and I love it for that!)

I think Carlos is trapped in the house since all of his science team was taken away so no one is there to open the door. But that might actually work in his favor right now given what's going on.

Would Strex be doing re-education? Or is that just an old Station Management thing? I'm practically writhing in anxiety about what's happening to him. It's so good and yet so bad for my health. I still love it though. I'm now extra excited for the live show!

Whether Carlos is trapped in the House depends on whether that's when his science team was arrested - but given how he emphasized the danger he would be in without his team, it does seem likely (and we have numbers for Carlos's science team! and names for them! eeee! ...now are they the same, or has he lost people over time, or what? Have we ever actually heard of any of the science team going the way of interns?)

If Carlos did get trapped in the House, my hope is that he might find his way out and to Dana (I love the idea of Carlos-Dana friendship for no particular reason, I just think it would be adorable!)

I have no idea if Strex will do re-education or something else, though a lot of their people do sound kind of brainwashed to me, so...whatever is happening to Cecil, want to knoooow! And yeah that live show is going to be intense, don't see how it couldn't be!

I haven't listened to it yet, but I DID see the credits when I was downloading the episode and screamed. "The voice of Kevin was Kevin R. Free."

...yeah I don't think things are great for Cecil and I don't think things will be resolved in two weeks I think we're going to have to wait for the two-year anniversary for that??

We might at least hear something of what's happened to him, though...or at least get Carlos worrying about it...at least get an acknowledgment that Cecil still exists at all! How can we have Night Vale without its Voice!?

And it has a voice. The voice is Kevin. Or at least that's the impression I got - that he's trying to be the Voice but he isn't quite yet but he keeps trying to command the former Nightvalians to do things...?

Listening to most of it again, I think one of the worst things about it is how none of the Nightvalians are named...we know so many of them from Cecil's accounts, and Cecil always tells us who is doing and saying what...but to Strex they're all just workers-to-be, recalcitrant cogs in their machine...

I want to know - though I'm terrified to find out - who touched the "volleyball nets", who the "party-poopers" were and who is still managing to hide out...

And it's so sad when they refer to Carlos' team of scientists as "people in lab coats loitering". The words Kevin and Lauren use are all about taking power and individuality away from the people Strex are conquering - not describing who or what they are, just who they, in Strex' eyes, should be...

Calling the scientists "people in lab coats", I didn't even register that - even those people that Cecil doesn't name but refers to by occupation, Strex yet reduces...(and yet Strex does identify its own people, and stringently - not "Kev"!)

...terrible thought to go to sleep on, but were all of the party captains or overseers from Strex, or were some locals who have gone over...?
