you dropped THIS on me and yiiiikes, you hinted at what ZYL is about to do with such clean cruelty, and then he does it and OH my heart shatters for him. It's such a gorgeous setup, too, the very real need for his sacrificial quiet and his driving need for Shen Wei to succeed.
