One day I will write one of the serious essays percolating in my brain, of politics and patriotism and all the associated rage and confusion and despair and hope and everything else. But it is not this day. Instead you get hopelessly shallow fangirling, and this meme, which is not so shallow, because it's true that something as simple and silly as fanning can give you so much more:
