I also have to agree Al's situation is the sadder one, but again, that symbiosis ... Ed's memories are the tougher ones, if only because he can still feel the pain of them in a way that Al can't. I continue to maintain that this is why Al is able to quickly move on from Nina's death when Ed can't get past it.
Something I wonder about is what Ed did with the monsterific remains of his mother's not-body. It was breathing, living, ugly and raw but alive. Did Ed kill it? Was it suffering? It didn't seem to be moving when Al woke up in his new body, so I'm kind of wondering ...
*hugs Al* When you get your body back, we'll have a huge party with lots more hugging involved, okay? ^^;;
