I have yet to see Buffy, but I have a terrible hunch I'd be a Spike-fan (not just because James Marsters as Brainiac was just...wow. Mmmm.)
They weren't really accusing me outright, it was more they thought the arguments were morally unsound and were profoundly disturbed that anyone could try to justify Lex. I find it disturbing in turn that some people will so readily damn someone without trying to understand why they do what they do...
And yeah, I'm always having to explain that my fictional tastes don't reflect reality. I like bad boys in fiction - many of my favorite characters I would never actually want to meet in person, ever!
