Oooh, good working round the mind control thing. I also figure, since Lex HAS suffered from it so much he may well have hit the 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' camp'. Doesn't make it right, but Lex probably feels he can't afford to take the moral high ground if we wants to actually defeat the alien/mutant threats.
