This is all true, especially the last point, that Lex has put all aliens in the Threat to Humanity category (even going so far as to distrust Clark), so salvation would have to come from somewhere else. Still, to leap to Angel, that's pretty extreme. After Clark saved him, he decided he was meant for greater things; then an angel saves his life, and he decides he...needs to go to prison for a crime he didn't do? If anything I'd think the salvation would be validation of all he's doing...only Lex could twist it into this. (That, or SV's amazing braindead writers...)
Still wanna know why the cops aren't questioning Clark. He's the obvious first suspect.
