One Piece chapter 329 up (early! how do they get them so early??) on ArlongPark. And yow. Eeeee, I like this chapter. And not just because unlike the previous ones there's no marine carpentry vocab, so I could understand a lot of it even without a dictionary...


Nami absolutely wants the money back - for the sake of fixing the Merry. She's terribly worried about Usopp - last week, when they realized both him and the money were gone, it was still the nakama more than the beri that worried her. Must love Nami (and she looks great in a tie!)

I also couldn't help but like that that when Sanji & Chopper get the news about the Merry, one of Sanji's first thoughts is what Usopp is going say when he hears.

And then OH...geeze...waaaaaah...Usopp-kuuuuun!!!

Also, confirmation. Sanji is the official Luffy-retriever. Zoro was right there, but it's Sanji who's soaked. (Also, whenever Sanji pulls Luffy outa the water, it seems like he's always got his hand on him afterwards when he's coughing up water. Like he's making sure he can't fall back in or something. Can I get an 'awww' here?)

.....this manga is getting better. Chapter three-hundred-friggin'-twenty-nine and it's getting better as it goes along. Either that or I'm blinded by mad pirate love, which is...er...entirely possible.

But damn. Oda-sensei is doing something with Usopp here. I don't know what, but it's making me nervous...he's going to be okay, Chopper says so. But he failed here, big time. And even though the odds were so totally against him, and he's not really a fighter and should know by now that his many talents lie elsewhere...I can't imagine that he's going to take it well. On top of everything else that's been happening - he was on the losing team in the Davy Back fight, and encountering Aokiji really got to him. I hope he doesn't start to lose faith in himself. Usooooopp...*huggles my favorite sharpshooter*

According to the comments at Arlong Park, Shounen Jump has to ship early to come out on time in the US. Sometimes they don't wait until the proper day to put it on the shelves, or it is otherwise leaked because it's out there, just being withheld until the release date.

I'm glad you explained some of what was going on. Now to look forward to some well-deserved ass-kicking. *isn't going to start on the Usopp fangirling because she will never stop*

ahh, yes, saw that about the US releases. Why isn't there a Japanese bookstore anywhere near me? *whine*

I've decided my favorite character in OP is whichever nakama is in the scene I'm watching/on the page I'm reading. So Usopp was my favorite quite a lot this time. and he was kicking ass! until he got his kicked...waaaaaaaah poor thing!! (they had to ask Chopper if he were alive...not good...)

Heh, that's true, it's very hard not to like all of them. Even if one of them manages to annoy me, they instantly do something to make me love them again.

If he were really that injured, Chopper would have stayed behind and taken care of him right away, wouldn't he have?

Yah, Oda-sensei is so very good at that. All his chars have significant flaws, but their fantastic good qualities win out for all of them. *just* when Luffy has been acting so stupid that you start questioning how much you love him, he'll do something so good or cool or whatever that you fall in love all over again...

There was a bit of time I didn't care for Usopp so much. Don't know what I was thinking. And no, he's not that badly injured, physically speaking...it's more his mental and emotional health that I'm worried about...

I know I know!! USOPP HAD BETTER STAY!!! O__O
I feel sorry for the guy, he's surrounded by people who practically know no fear, who can kick ass, and look great to boot. But all that does not lessen my love for teh Usopp. He has to be one of the bravest members in Luffy's crew, not having any super strength and what not, and yet he still continues to stay with the crew despite being a coward.
He knows he's a coward and it doesn't stop him from trying to be a true pirate! ::waves the Usopp flag:: Gambatte Usopp sama!! T__T The guy really deserves more.

And and omgomg I want them to kick the Frankie family's ass DO IT DO IT!!! >O For the nakama-ship!!

yah, that's what makes Usopp so great - because he's like how one of us would be like, on that ship, only he does better than most of us probably would (I don't know if I'd have the will to keep getting up and demanding the money back like that...owww owow...)

Usopp isn't going anywhere. he CAN'T. neither can the Merry...but if it comes down to ship or sniper, it's gotta be Usopp.
