:D :D I'm so glad you're on board with the Buffy love - I think she's awesome, one of my favorite heroines ever.
Faith, yeah....earlier when I talked about Faith I couldn't say anything because I didn't want to spoil you, but my love for Faith is largely because of how her character turned out. Most of the episodes in Angel S4 I've seen are the Faith ones. I'll always wish Eliza hadn't turned down the chance to do a Faith spinoff (she chose the short-lived Tru Calling instead).
Spike - yes, much love for Spike. The scene where he comes and finds her after the Scooby gang kicks her out is one of my favorites.
Willow/Kennedy - yeah, that's one of the very few canon romances on the show I never could really buy into, mostly because I wasn't crazy about Kennedy herself, and it seemed a little too soon after Tara I guess. Tara was actually supposed to return for S7, but Kennedy was created after that didn't work out with Amber Benson.
AtS reminds me of Torchwood, in that it's not quite the show I want to be watching. It's not even the show's fault, it just gives some false impressions. It comes across like a team show, the adventures of a family of misfits, and it does that stuff marvelously - I love that kind of show, and AtS's execution of it is exceptionally appealing. But really that's not what the show is about; it's really about Angel, the friends and families he makes and loses and all the joy and pain he experiences for those relationships; same as Torchwood is in the end all about the trials and tribulations of Jack Harkness.
Yeah I think you've summed it up here. I tried a few times to get into Torchwood, but I just couldn't get into it, though I loved DW - I just simply don't care enough about Jack himself. And I love BtVS, but AtS - while like you I loved the teaminess and the characters, I felt like it was ultimately going to break my heart and I just didn't want to go there. I think if I was more invested in Angel by himself it might be different, but while I enjoy Angel with his team, he's not my favorite on the show (Cordy and Wes were probably my favorites, though I never really got a chance to know Fred).
