Gintama fic: Pandemonium 5/?

We had a snowstorm! ...well, okay, back in Massachusetts it barely would've counted as more than flurries. But for Seattle 3 inches is practically a blizzard. After last year's snow-less winter it was a surprise - a happy one, mostly, as I kind of miss snow, though it's making holiday preparations a bit trickier.

Speaking of snow - no, wait, there's no logical segue here. Oh well, it's Gintama, who needs logic! Have a new chapter instead! The story's starting to change gears now...just got to do it smoothly enough that the chars don't notice they're suddenly in a whole new genre...

Oh you didn't!! Yes you did. You broke the fourth wall about this being a fic in English. XDDDDD (now that's keeping with the spirit of the original while adapting to another medium! :D)

It had to come up some time! Especially since it's been stressing me out all through writing it, that I keep making both Japanese-only jokes and English-only jokes...what better way to address the problem than have the chars deal with it? that's what they're there for!!

And of course I love worry. But you knew that already ^_^

So much love for Kagura in this chapter too - still trying to raise Gintoki as a proper adult! Having the marker behind her back! Having ninths! Having to restrain her feminine wiles XD XD XD

"Gin-chan can see Stands when I can't," Kagura said. "My body's stronger, but he's better. If he saw something..."

I just really like that section for some reason. Maybe about how she's so matter-of-fact about their different skill sets, and Shinpachi doesn't make a peep about her judgment.

(And you're really making me feel the need for a Gintama icon!)

It wouldn't be Gintama if I didn't poke at the 4th wall sooner or later! And since some of the language gags were making my own head spin I figured what better way to handle it than have the chars address the issue? ^^

I am so glad you like my Kagura - I absolutely adore her but find her one of the trickier chars to get my head around (it's why she doesn't get any POV scenes ^^;) so it's really good to know my take works for you.
