I'm sorry I haven't commented in a while, there's a combination of christmas and exams coming up, and I haven't even read the latest One Piece... ^^;;

But yes! I really love your interaction between Shinpachi & Kagura and Hijikata & Okita. :D The interplay between Kagura and Okita (bwah!) and Shinpachi being all intimidated, poor thing. And of course, Okita's hypothetical example. Cracked me up! XD

And it's so Kagura to keep the sword as a chew toy for the dog. Hee. And now I have another chapter to find out what happens! ^_^

I gotta say I love writing Hijikata & Okita, when they're together they simply write themselves. And poor Shinpachi, having to deal with all of them...not poor Kagura, though, she enjoys it XD

And I love the very suspiciously complete details of Okita's hypothetical assassination of Hijikata - I can hear his voice actor's monotone so clearly :D.

"I was going to," Kagura mumbled. "Except it was Sadaharu's sword, really; the lady gave it to him. And he loves it! So..."

...

"Huh, I never thought of that..."
...
"Shinpachi..." Kagura was still staring down at her feet. "If it is the sword, if that's what's been hurting Gin-chan...I'm the one who kept it, it's my—"



You made Kagura actually read so authentically young in that sequence. ♥

And then of course I love the Shinsengumi, too, because how could I not? Okita practically writes a lot of his own dialogue and I think it's because his voice is so distinctively deadpan, I can always hear it! ^^
