Mmn. I understand what you're saying.
I don't think it's angst or depression that makes a good ending or a good story either, so I even more understand.
I, myself, just happen to be a sucker for angst. Writing it
and
reading it. Personal taste, is all.
What I like most about OP is the upbeat absurdity, as well, so Again, I understand that, too.
I, myself, at this point, however, am not sure I even want Usopp to come back, because I'm so ticked off at him. >.<
