Aww. Hijikata! Okita! I love how you write their insanely dysfunctional relationship where they still manage to be each other's best friend when it comes (very far) down to it... That cliffhanger was owww.

Also - Takasugi! Is creepy, and you really captured that. Eeep! Love his interaction with Katsura (and Katsura's thoughts on video games, hee!). Also, lots of eep. O.O

Hee, yes, I had to get in a bit of Hiji-Oki friendship, because you only get it when they're absolutely forced to it, but this was a good opportunity for such forcing, so...

And so glad my Takasugi worked for you - he's creepy but he's also such an enigma, we've seen so little of him.

Oh, gods. This was a really powerful chapter! With Takasugi's eerie analogies and Okita's singular point of view, and that fight scene, which is just gracefully written, very fluid.

You've really captured how much none of those three actually want to be doing this, and how much all of them have committed to it anyway, and it's all just . . . painfully good.

So glad you're still enjoying it! <333 Especially that the fight worked for you - I rather love writing combat even knowing nothing about it, so I'm very happy to know it's successful.

...I have to admit, I think this is the best chapter of the story, at least it's the one I'm most pleased with - the first draft was a pain and I ended up rewriting most of it, but I'm glad I did. (Now I just have to fix up the next chapters so they measure up! ^^;;)

God its getting all too exciting now! I really didn't expect Takasugi to be the mastermind but I should have guessed.
The part about Okitas fear of sharing Hijikata's taste in condiments made me laugh.
Its scary how one tiny part is similar to an fic Ive been working on for a while now, and I wish I could say great minds think alike but yours is so much better than mine! I really look forward to your updates~

Ah, I have that problem all the time, of reading a fic and finding someone else has written the same idea I'm working on! But ideas are a dime a dozen, it's the execution that makes a story original ^^ Good luck with your fic, I look forward to it - the world needs more Gintama fic out there!

What I liked about Taksugi's involvement is that its all so very plausible considering Bansai's musical talents.
Thanks for your kind words. True there isn't enough Gintama fic out there. I hope to have it out sometimes this century, lol.
