AHAHAHA!!! You know, I was thinking about that egg when the Gekkons said that their prince was missing, and then I went nah and didn't say anything, but I literally LOLed when I saw the title to this chapter. Foreshadowing FTW!

That said, your Gintoki is ♥♥♥♥♥!

Waking up because Shinpachi is sleeping in the other room. Feeling way too responsible about being up early. Knowing Katsura so well. And then the reluctance to go home, and the panic reaction to the Gekkon... ♥

Also, "similar cognitive structures". Hijikata. So true! Hee~

Katsura takes himself way too seriously, like he should, but he made me laugh several times here. Pitch perfect!

Hee~! I was wondering if anyone would figure out the egg - I was hoping to just slip it in there as something wacky enough to remember, but not that you'd think of it as a plot point. But yeah, that's why the summary's what it is ^__^

Gintoki and Hijikata are different in some ways, but yeah, they're definitely on the same wavelengths a lot. Much to their dismay! XD

And Zura, hee, very glad he cracked you up! (The trouble with Zura is that he does take himself ~SO~ seriously - in spite of being a hysterical lunatic - and since I rather love him , I'm inclined to let him be also awesome and dramatic and totally OOC ^^;;; Fortunately Gin-san won't let him get away with it forever!)
