So after almost (but not quite) five years, I'm finishing Tiger Hunt. After my recent One Piece reread, it just seemed like the time. After writing for the past month, I have the first draft almost done (am on the epilogue, planning to finish it this weekend) so I figured I could risk posting and seeing if anyone out there actually remembers this fic exists.

(in unrelated news, AGGHHH I don't think I can read Homestuck as it's updated (never mind that that's often daily, and several pages a day, because Andrew Hussie is clearly insane and also possibly a Hero of Time) - TOO FRICKING STRESSFUL AGGGHHH NEED MORE NOOOOW! Did Karkat kill Gamzee himself?? He's covered in purple blood...how?? are we gonna get an animation?? agh more more now now now now!!)

I knoooooow. Oh god. I've been reading as it updates for two months now and ever since the Flip flash I've just been... ffffffff (there is a part of me that doubts there's going to be any more proper animation until the "disc" is fixed though. But when it does come it's probably going to be spectacular. Uuugh, I can't remember how to do that spoiler blackout thing. But I will say that given how spectacularly badass Karkat's ancestor was implied to be and the fact that I get the feeling that his being the Knight of Blood will be important somehow, I just..... kind of get the feeling he did. ohgodheneedsahugpoorthing D:)

At this point all the dead chars need to come back to life JUST so they can gather around & give Karkat the group hug to end all group hugs. Poor poor thing! (there seems to be a plethora of fic wherein Karkat is basically catatonic from trauma and someone (John or Terezi) has to hug him out of it. Really I am not surprised. On top of everything else he hasn't actually slept for a month, even for trolls that can't be good!)

Aaaah yeah no animations until the disc is fixed makes sense, but I'm wondering if we won't see what Karkat did until then? Since it has the potential to be epic...and he says it's a troll thing and gaaah my imagination is going wild wanna knoooow! *flails*

*fist pump* Tiger Hunt! Excellent! You know, that's the first One Piece fic I ever read? I had barely heard of the show then, and had no idea who you were talking about, but it was all so cool! This is exciting. :D

The very first! (Can you imagine how confusing that was, with the shapechanging reindeer and the Captain Usopp who apparently wasn't actually the captain, and a lady with many many hands -- that had eyeballs in them, wtf -- this fic was directly responsible for me getting my hands on the first few episodes of the show, just so I could figure it out!) I have, in all sincerity, been waiting five years for that fic to be finished. It feels kind of like my birthday just rolled around.

(In other words: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!)

Will wait for the epilogue to be posted before I go back and re-read the whole thing, however. ;p

Past Shayera a couple of days ago was going to comment on this to say YAY TIGER HUNT!! (I'm going to wait and read the whole thing again from the start when you have finished it, and I look forward to it very much! ^___^)

But Past Shayera I didn't want to click this entry for fear of spoilery Homestuck discussions. So I waited until I was all caught up on Homestuck. Which is Current Shayera. XD

And right now I have to say that I totally didn't expect Homestuck to eat my soul in the way it did. If I had suspected, I would never have clicked it, because I absolutely did not have all that time that I spent reading it. But you said comedy and drama and time travel shenanigans (which happen to be some of my favorite shenanigans!), which sounded like a fun distraction, and here I am. Damn you and your impeccable taste! XD

Also, I'd like to say that I practically made a big NOOOOO when, while reading the pages, I reached the place where I couldn't click forward any longer. :(

Though it's not like I didn't warn you! :P But yeah, I wasn't expecting it either...it's so ridiculous and silly and then suddenly you find yourself caring and needing desperately to know WHAT HAPPENS NEXT (or, often enough, WHAT JUST HAPPENED BEFORE?!?)

...I will provide a supplementary warning from the future that once caught up, having to read it update by update is VERY STRESSFUL (if fun for allowing you more time to study individual pages trying to figure out what is going on!)
