Sunday Six: silly Guardian snippet

Any Guardian fans on my flist probably have already seen this, but brush_and_lantern fanworks comm is open for business with its first theme -- and its first work already! \o/

And I want to write something for that, plus I have two different long fic that I really want to be working on, one I have hopes of finishing this week and the other still has a ways to go but where it's going, ahh, I am nervous but excited to get there!

...and then I got on Twitter, and let's just say that tanndell is a menace and also I am weak, there are certain tropes I am so, so weak to, and Shen Wei tickles my id in a particular way...

"Shen Wei?" Zhao Yunlan asked over the phone.

"Zhao Yunlan?" Shen Wei said back.

"You call for anything in particular?" Zhao Yunlan said, in that particular tone that meant he was leaning back in his chair, with a specific grin Shen Wei knew very well, informal and satisfied. "Or just to hear my dulcet voice?"

"I do like hearing your voice," Shen Wei said. "Even over the phone, it's so gentle and yet so lively."

I love Sunday Six so much but it's such a TEASE, especially with such great snippets as this.

Hey, I'm just proud of this one for being actually 6 sentences and actually posted on a Sunday! ^^

This really is going to be short so I'll probably have it up by next week. Unless I opt to start posting my other thing as there is some thematic overlap... ^^;

AAwww, that's cute! It seems that Shen Wei is what I would call a stealth flirter - he pretends to be bad at it, but is actually anything but, and comes out with the most devastatingly heartfelt and sweet things. :-)

Ahahahah I have been writing like crazy, I don't even know what switch got flipped! ...there is the slight problem that writing fic is not in fact equivalent to sleeping, even if it's more fun...but it is so much more fun!

I've finished the first draft for this fic so probably will have it up within a week or so. It's really quite a silly thing ^_^

Waaaaaaah! Is it? Is it? Phone.......sex.....dirty....talking....leadup? Because Yunlan SO WOULD. Especially after Shen Wei admits to liking his voice. OMG. I have such a thing for voice descriptions and all the lovely things one can do with them......

eheheh whoops, sorry, no, this bit was perhaps misleading...it's this fic and it's comedy fluff not sexytimes... ^^;;;

...Yunlan was totally hinting at the phone sex though and he's totally gotten Shen Wei to do it at least once...or twice...or more...
