Fic: All the Difference, part 8

Thank you for your patience, and my apologies for the delay, I am so very easily distracted, and my life's been busy enough to throw my writing schedule out of whack. Hoping to get back in the groove now that things are settling down again. There's a whole long hideously, fiendishly hot & humid Kyoto summer stretching out, and no SV to fill the void save what we make ourselves!
Regarding the next part of this story, a brief disclaimer: I have only seen select episodes of the Superman animated series. Thus, Mercy is generally writing herself, with relatively little input on her character from me.
