SGA fic: Safekeeping

sga_genficathon bonus ficcing! (Only I totally cheated; I started this story before the 'thon, but it fit the prompt so well, and the bonus round was an excellent excuse to finish it, so...)
I feel this needs a note of explanation/apology. I am a hurt/comfort fan; always have been, always will be. And while lately I've tended to gravitate more towards the emotional end of the hurt spectrum - sometimes you gotta return to your roots and indulge yourself. Or your sister. So this was written for
gnine, on the basis of two of her firmest principles of SGA fic: that there is not enough allergy-fic in this fandom, and there is no such thing as too much Rodney-whump. It is terribly, horribly gratuitous, and I had way more fun writing it than I ought to have. All 18K words of it. (...And yes, I know I already wrote anaphylactic shock-fic. But that was an AU! It doesn't count! Besides, I started this one first...what is the word I'm looking for? Oh, yes - No Shame.)
