xparrot: Chopper reading (sga hc)
[personal profile] xparrot
More [livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon bonus ficcing! (Only I totally cheated; I started this story before the 'thon, but it fit the prompt so well, and the bonus round was an excellent excuse to finish it, so...)

I feel this needs a note of explanation/apology. I am a hurt/comfort fan; always have been, always will be. And while lately I've tended to gravitate more towards the emotional end of the hurt spectrum - sometimes you gotta return to your roots and indulge yourself. Or your sister. So this was written for [livejournal.com profile] gnine, on the basis of two of her firmest principles of SGA fic: that there is not enough allergy-fic in this fandom, and there is no such thing as too much Rodney-whump. It is terribly, horribly gratuitous, and I had way more fun writing it than I ought to have. All 18K words of it. (...And yes, I know I already wrote anaphylactic shock-fic. But that was an AU! It doesn't count! Besides, I started this one first...what is the word I'm looking for? Oh, yes - No Shame.)

SGA: Safekeeping {~18,000 words}
PG-13, gen h/c; prompt: "Slavery, captivity or hostages"
"Don't worry, McKay," John said. "We'll keep you safe out there."

Delightful story

I love allergy stories too, and also don't think there's enough of them, so happy to read such an excellent one.
