I'm enjoying this story SO much! Static and Gear are cute (they're on a Saturday morning cartoon?), and I like Robert, but what I most especially love in this section is Superman's protective anger and that great, great line about Lex's big, bad supervillain act. *eg* I'll be eagerly awaiting the next chapter!

Yup, Static Shock was a cartoon on a few years ago, loosely associated with the Batman/Superman/JLU animated 'verse. I first caught it in its second episode and sort of fell in love - Virgil & Richie are the bestest of best friends and they killed me with the cute (and the gay). Some years later the series developed a small but avid fan following, much to my joy...

And obviously I am having far too much fun with Supes and his nemesis. Next chapter soon! ^^

I hate it that I'm enjoying this as much as I am. But the moment I read this line: "It wasn't like it was the first time. Virgil's bedroom door had never had a lock and there had been a few times they had neglected to close it all the way..., I started laughing, and continued all the way through.

I'm glad I read your Static Shock story last year, or very little of this would have made sense to me, but as it is? Quite fun.

Glad you're enjoying it, even despite yourself ^^ and yeah, the Virgil/Richie relationship here is pretty much a direct sequel to that first-time story with them, just a few years down the line...

Yeah, Robert's a great char, I'm having fun giving him a bit of a chance to shine! And SV...I have issues with the show itself, it has the potential to be so much better than is actually is. But it's worth watching for its take on Lex, and his friendship with Clark (if a bit depressing, because it makes Lex quite the sympathetic and tragic figure...!)

Took forever to comment because I had to save to disk and read at home, but I love this story. There's just something about the JLU universe that makes me plain happy.

The two villains are pretty cool, but Lex rules even in absentia. And Clark! Didn't expect to see Superman so soon.

'far as I'm concerned, JLU is rather a much better show than Smallville ^^; And while I love SV's Lex, JLU's is fantastic. (my next fic is going to have both of them, pretty much...yay for multiple dimensions ^^)

So glad you're enjoying the story! (even if the sis is all sad you're reading fic instead of writing it...we're both jonesin' for more Devil's Deal! But the good stuff can't be rushed ^^)
