Thanks! I just watched JLU for the first time (lost track of it after 1st season and only rediscovered it when the bro pushed it on me when I saw him at the holidays) and totally loved it.
Currently in SV Lex is on track to become a supervillain; he's running LuthorCorp, secretly experimenting on meteor mutants, and marrying Lana Lang *gags quietly*. Why he went evil is kind of unclear. He mostly seems to have become embittered with no one trusting him and just gave up trying to be good. Very sad. (his dad drugging him, committing him, frying his brain with electroshock, and later poisoning him, probably didn't help the trust issues any...) On the plus side, MR's eeeevil!Lex is the smex, so...there's always a silver lining!
