Just posted a fic for sga_flashfic's F**king Freezing challenge, because seriously, like I was going to take a pass on that prompt. It's an idea gnine and I had that has been done a dozen times over, but hey, you can never have too many team snuggles. And yeah, this was meant to be a drabble. I fail at "flashfic" as completely as...almost every other person on that comm.

...so how will I get you into SGA? *dangles team before you in all their smexy team-teaminess!* (I do understand your trepidation, I avoided SGA for a good year and a half because of its soul-sucking quality, which does indeed, er, suck your soul...)

I'm very shallow, so dangling the smexy team before me did the trick. (I've heard that SGA is pretty much a re-write of SG1 with space vampires, how close is that statement?)

Yes, pretty much! Story-wise, anyway - the chars are different, which is always what made SG-1 for me - SGA's are a bit more screwed up, but just as lovable and every bit as codependent if not more. But the feel of the show's close.

I've finally had a day or two free enough to begin catching up with your fic of the last couple months (and hopefully Naye's next). This was tremendous fun! I love Rodney's response to Ronon's "You're hotter." Well worded and quite hysterical! Much as I wonder sometimes about your fandom obsessions, I do greatly enjoy your fic.

Dad was interested in the John/Nancy story when I told him about it, and he was looking over my shoulder when I started reading it a couple nights ago, so I wound up reading it out loud to him. It was after one a.m., after we'd been working on the book for about twelve hours, so he started falling asleep half way through, and we haven't gone to bed at the same time since then at a reasonable enough hour to finish it; but we're both enjoying that one, too, in a thoroughly different way. Will comment on that one as when we have a chance to finish it. Meanwhile I've got a couple more printed out.
