I just want to say, for the record, Avatar: The Last Airbender: one of the best cartoons ever on television, American or anywhere; and one of the most impressive epic fantasies put on film. Gorgeous in every sense of the word.

(Also, want the soundtrack like burning.)

This is completely true, and we don't even get cable -- we're watching it on DVDs from the public library. Avatar *deserves* to be as popular as Harry Potter IMHO. If it isn't, it may be because it's too good, too complete and satisfying in itself: I don't have that urge to fix it, to make it better.

I need to buy all the DVDs! Definitely high on my list...

And yes, I don't read or write fic for Avatar; it's definitely a Class A fandom for me, absolutely perfect just as it is, giving me everything I want.

We're showing the whole series to a friend now, and I think I'm even more impressed the second time around, how it all comes together. Very well-told!

Our Tivo decided to die this morning. Avatar was the only thing on disk we really cared about but now we have to wait for dvds!
