Obviously I'm going to need more adorable TEAM icons, if the season continues like this! I might also be needing a replacement for my exclamation point key, it's gonna get worn out.

"The Daedalus Variations" is just one long our-team-running-around-being-cute! With bonus Lorne & Zelenka, and ALTERNATE UNIVERSES! Okay, sure, they didn't really do much with the AUs, but I am such a huge sucker for the multiverse that any mention will have me clapping & giggling with glee. Dead duplicate copies of the team! And John being a total dork! And Rodney being a different sort of dork (especially with wanting to try again at the end!)

And Ronon listens to Rodney's lectures on multiverses, and thinks about them! ([livejournal.com profile] gnine points out that Ronon had an opportunity to learn tech from some random guy and ducked out of it - but he listens to what Rodney says. How AWWWW is that?)

And Teyla listens to other stuff! How much do I adore Alan McCullough's tech-savvy Teyla? THIIIIIIIIS much! And she's super-cute with Rodney as well, not smacking him even when he deserves it (though in his defense he wasn't there when she was explaining she'd learned the Daedalus's systems.) Also, her, "That's it, I must go help Colonel Sheppard and Ronon, good luck, Rodney," so beautifully calm and matter-of-fact about grabbing her gun (of course if you're going to do science with Rodney, Teyla, you better learn that it's never that easy!)

The alt-team did not die of starvation, obviously, from looking at them, not to mention if they really were dying I'd think they would've taken their chances taking off in the jumper. If it wasn't radiation (another 'verse where the red giant was even bigger?) then we were thinking something knocked them out and they froze to death. Poor alt-team.

John, you IDIOT! Picking fights with random Borg aliens! But it was in the name of saving Atlantis - an Atlantis, anyway - so we forgive you and your crazy, crazy protective instincts. Also, boosting his own alt-ego, heeeeh.

(Borg New aliens are, ehhh, whatever. How come every martial alien species is physically stronger than humans? Humanity is going more towards automation in our warfare, smart bombs and chemicals, taking the human factor out of the offense side - why are super soldiers the name of the game in TV scifi? This isn't an SGA thing, it's just a general complaint, but...)

Rodney was all awesome and brilliant and Rodney and oh, "We've got to think of something" and of course they all look at their resident brain. No pressure or nothing! But he got them out of it. Even if he was the one to get them into it. Well, a Rodney McKay did, anyway. Who came up with the final get-into-spacesuits plan, though? Inquiring minds want to know! (I also note that the 4th ep of the season always puts Rodney in the infirmary - "Suspicion," "Duet," "Sateda," "Doppelganger," now this. I am not complaining by any means...though it could've been for more than a grazed arm. Sheppard got stabbed twice in a row! Surely you can whump Rodney a little harder!)

And sandwiching all this fun - John & Rodney, and at the end John is in the infirmary for no particular reason except he likes hanging out with Rodney, and then Teyla comes and Rodney gets to hold the baaaaaby! Awwwww! Show, you are making me SO HAPPY!

McSheppiest line: "And it doesn't get much more opposite than you!" Because we all know how opposites attract! (Even if it's totally untrue - John can think closer to Rodney-thoughts than most - still, XDDDDD!)

All in all, it was a blast - this season is really shaping up awesome. And if you want more squee, [livejournal.com profile] naye's has visual aids!
