"The answer is yes. Oh yes."
Jan. 23rd, 2009 03:02 amSo. Can anyone else out there, off the top of their heads, recite the entire car confrontation from that one ep of Highlander?
Or is it just us? Just wondering.
(Mmmmmm, Peter Wingfield...)

I love that scene. Methos=soooooooooo hot, but Kronos was better.

(coincidentally I was just thinking of rereading your long Methos-torture fic. Mmmm, h/c...)

Date: 2009-01-22 07:19 pm (UTC)And actually seeing them with the slash goggles I think only enhances everything around the Horsemen episodes, because Methos really breaks Duncan's heart - you can almost hear it breaking in during the car confrontation. And it's even more clear that Methos would totally have come to Duncan with the whole thing if Cassandra hadn't gotten to Duncan first an colored all future interactions on the subject.

Sweet slashy lovers' quarrel (btw, do you know that PW has himself said that they played the scene like a lovers' breakup?).

Date: 2009-01-22 08:06 pm (UTC)That's still one of my all-time favorite episodes, despite its huge lack of Richie. What? I was fourteen.
PW totally has that "Death on a Horse" thing going on 24 right now.

Date: 2009-01-22 08:23 pm (UTC)What I love are the outtakes, which emphasize even more that the whole vibe they had going on there was not at all an accident. And you can't even blame it on some random director, because it was Adrian Paul himself behind this one.
Methos in that entire arc just kills me dead, really, with that hunted feel to him, like the world is falling apart every way he turns and he's just trying to triage the damage. Not that Methos eating toast wouldn't kill me dead, mind you. Oh, the Peter Wingfield love, it is strong.
I, uh, might have to go watch it again now. Yum.
