I've been seeing this meme floating around the flist, and have been wondering how I'd do at it myself. Considering how many times I suspect I've reused the same turn of phrase, not to mention I was reformatting my page recently and realized I had entirely forgotten writing one story on there...well, we'll see.

A-- go to my fics and pick out a line or two from one of my stories.
B-- I will respond with which story I think it's from.
C-- points and a drabble to anyone who stumps me

I trust the gentle reader not to pick something too ridiculously vague. But your call.

"Just used my magic gay powers to get into any guy's pants."

*laughs* You could probably figure this one out, but I still love the line.

Gojyo in "Transient". Like I said, the slash I remember ^^ (you read Saiyuki? or were you just trawling?)

Yay! *throws confetti*

(I was just trawling...because I'm bad and evil like that...haha....I've been doing that on this meme -- picking fandoms I know nothing about. But I really liked that line as I was skimming through that story, so I chose it ^_^)

I was tempted to do this (because I grab like.. all memes XD) but I probably haven't written enough for it to be very challenging. ^^;;

But for you: Zoro eyed them while the pause stretched into yet more uncomfortable silence, thinking that this was just about the time Luffy would pop up with something entirely inane to add to the conversation and bridge this gap. That his absence was the cause of this division would have been an amusing irony, if it hadn't been so damned annoying.

(And btw, where did you get YGO from? Between you and some of the other fangirling that has been popping up on my flist, I'm starting to get tempted. >>)

Ooh, let me play!

"Overboard" - I don't actually remember what point, but I remember writing the line!

(and YGO - I got the show on bootlegs off Ebay, but I'd advise you to start with the manga anyway; it's how I got into the series and it's rather superior to the show (for one, it eases you into the card games, starting out with psycho!Yami & toothachingly cute friendshipping). Viz's Shounen Jump translations are decent, if you're strapped for cash just go to Borders and sit and read 'em ^^ It's no OP (but then what is) but it's fun. And has Kaiba!

--actually I've been meaning to ask, in PoT you're an Inui fan, yes? Do you happen to have any of his image songs? I have a couple, but believe there's more out there...he's voiced by Tsuda Kenjirou who I am deeply and madly in lust with also voices Kaiba ^^)

AHHHHHHHH sheepies!! Why do I have a bad feeling this is RGB...? Gimme a little time...I swear I remember writing this line, just need to remember where I wrote it XD (though you can start thinking about what you'd like drabbled ^^)

Yep! It happened to be one of the first fics of yours I read.

And yeah, poor baby. It's worse in the actual manga, believe me, and then sensei goes and tops it off by making Satoshi have a cow at Daisuke the next day because Daisuke's an idiot who forgives him and it totally breaks your heart.

hmmm, what part is it from? I've never seen the anime, only read the manga, and only what's been officially translated so far, but don't remember if I've seen this shot or not...(the manga is gonna break my heart anyway, I'm not used to crushing this hard on a noncanonical pairing that won't be fulfilled...but...but...Satoshi deserves a little happiness! *wibbles*)

volume four, although i have my doubts about the way TP translated it. I didn't dare look becuase they ticked me off so much with the way they did volume one.

but you'd probably remember it if you saw it, because Satoshi crouches down over Daisuke and goes 'Niwa....I'm sorry....' and then he transforms into Krad for the first time because HIS LIFE REALLY SUCKS THAT MUCH.

And personally my bet is on Satoshi dying or getting together with Risa at the end of the manga, so I am a bit of a reluctant SatRisa shipper, except for the part where I cover my ears and go LALALALA TWINS? WHAT TWINS? I KNOW NOTHING OF THESE TWINS GIVE ME MY GAY LALALALA -- especially since lately Riku's been being an idiot.

Ahh, what'd they do to v.1? I've never seen the original (TP is so erratic, sometimes they're quite good, sometimes they're pretty bad, but it's often hard to tell unless one knows what it should be. I've heard they messed up Petshop of Horrors too, but again don't know how...)

Ah yes I should've remembered! - just been a while since I read it, I've been reading them as they come out. ^^; Maybe I'll reread this weekend.

Is the manga not finished yet? I thought it was complete...? I tend to like canon pairings, especially in shoujo, and I'm kind of fond of the twins, but...doesn't make me *squee* the way the Satoshi-Daisuke stuff does (not to mention I'm all 'Dark? Who's Dark? Oh, yeah, the pretty boy, whatever - but Daisuke's so adorable!')

Yes, it is, and yes it is. :) That story STILL lays me out. (So I had to pick a line from it.)

Wish you still wrote RGB; then again, I know folks who wish I still wrote "Phantom of the Opera" (which I haven't written for more than a decade) so I understand where you're coming from.

well, mostly they made it so that they used the American naming conventions (sorry, I blocked most of it out in self-defense) -- which wouldn't be too bad but the subplot with the twins in the first few volumes depends on Daisuke starting by calling them both Harada and moving to call Riku by her first name. AND he calls Satoshi Satoshi and Satoshi calls him Daisuke, which makes my little purist heart weep and cry and bleed. I do remember they mistranslated part of the Satoshi's Day omake in volume three, though.

The manga ISN'T finished, she's been putting out chapters like, two times a year and driving us nuts. ;_____; Also, it was the rest of the Dark and Daisuke and the Twins and their Retarded Double Date, which does not interest me. Volume 11 just came out in Japan.

Oh, I can't resist...

the chance to *maybe* get my very own drabble from you. Maybe my drabble request will tempt you into going back to one of your unfinished stories for a temporarily-abandoned fandom: "Remembering to Breathe" or "Darkness Visible" maybe?

But then, knowing you, you'll be able to identify just about every line you've written. But I'll give it a try. How about:

"His instincts had told him he wasn't wrong. He still believed so, but now his gut was also insisting that this was no joke."

ack! Yeah, naming changes would make me twitch, were I aware of them. That's a pointlessly annoying alteration (take it in the original Satoshi and Daisuke are on a surname-basis?) (...still not as bad as Viz's SJ, which has taken to translating "nii-sama" as "Kaiba". Umm. That's their surname. The little brother would not be calling his beloved big brother by their surname >__>)

Ohhh, that explains why the translated DNAngel suddenly started coming out a lot slower, if they've almost caught up. Ahh why can't shoujo come out more like SJ? a chapter a week is much more my speed!

It's still one of my personal favorites, too, I have to admit. ^_^

In all honesty I wouldn't mind writing a bit more RGB, if I had time! really did enjoy playing with those boys (and once started a mad-crazy crossover idea that is oh-so-tempting to pursue) But I've got enough fandoms with unfinished stories that I can't really rent out more musespace in good conscience...

Once again, completely understood. But the selfish wench in me wishes you were still out there writing our Ghostbusting Boys as there's next to NO ONE with any talent writing in that fandom anymore. (Look out, it's the invasion of the Sue-thors!) I ache to read something as fresh and yummy as the RGB that was appearing five years ago when I first entered the fandom.

Yup! :D

Ah, yes. Sitting at Borders and mooching Manga has become a hobby of mine. XD I actually read the first volume a looong time ago and just never continued with it. Not sure why. But I'll give it another try. And, well, I never expect anything to be as good as OP. ^_~

And yes! I'm a big Inui fan! That was actually another reason I was interested in YGO because.. guh that voice. *___* and he's not in many other voice acting roles. ;_; Which songs of his do you have? I'll UL the rest of them for you (I'm pretty sure I have them all ^^). Does Kaiba have any image songs?

You might not have continued reading YGO because it's...er...not that good ^^; really quite random...it's just got these bits that are, mmm, compelling.

And I've been more tempted to watch PoT lately because of Tsuda. XD Why isn't he in more stuff?? His drawl is pure sex...am curious how Inui speaks; Kaiba is basically the walking definition of arrogance (interspersed with deeply thoughtful and surprisingly gentle moments) and his voice fits that to a T. also his mad laugh kills me dead.

I have Kaze no Yukue and...umm..."Distance"? With the typewriter? ^^;; (and an incredibly funny radioplay bit that he transforms from Inui into Kaiba halfway through...) anything else you have would be terrifically appreciated!
