xparrot: Chopper reading (illicit miracles)
[personal profile] xparrot
Verily, I am blessed - don't know how I did on my oral exam (don't want to know, honestly) but I know awesome people. First [livejournal.com profile] lady_karasu wrote me adorable OP sickfic, complete with Chopper-snuggles. And then [livejournal.com profile] stitcher2ficcer gave me birthday BanGin torture. Of a sort. A special sort. Wtih an agenda, even. Really, too silly, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you~!

Meanwhile, if you're in the mood for Boys Love, Gurechawanaidene is the silliest I've read since Chintsubu, featuring the most oblivious uke who has ever lived. If I were more motivated I would make a mood icon set entirely of the Yo-chan chibi shots.

And I am not going to take a hiatus from Illicit Miracles this winter like I have for the past couple years. I have another 10 pages scripted at least, I am going to get to Chris, dammit it! Artistic slump or not, I will prevail! (My creativity is so seasonal, it curls up and hibernates during the winter months. Stupid solar-powered muse. Where can I get one that runs on batteries?)

:-D Then I've succeeded in the goal of amusing you. Now, we'll wait a bit to see if it has any impact on achieving its barely hidden "agenda."

Aha! I've been waiting for a post where you mentioned OP, because then I wouldn't feel like that much of a dork when I confess to wanting to bear your children because of your fics and talk of Straw Hat orgies. Would you mind terribly if I friended and fangirled? :D

( -- also, um, hi. *grins*)

hiii~~! Yes, I've noticed your excellent, excellent taste in OP pairings on various comms (nakama x nakama all night long, baby!) Please, come in, take of your shoes, grab a drink and a plate of squee - there's plenty to go around! I'm about due for a OP post soon, & can always use more people to fangirl with! ^__^

Yo-chan~!
I just read Gurechawanaidene yesterday, and I damn nearly cried laughing. It's so cute and silly, and I agree, it'd be a great mood theme. But yeah... lazy. XD But it totally exploited my weakness for chibis...

If your creativity is seasonal, you should take a long vacation to a sunny place. ;)

Well, I've always wanted to go to New Zealand! (...if by 'always' you mean 'since the first LotR'.... ^^;;) Actually switching hemispheres probably would help...

and 'Gure...' is just too funny for words. My sis sent me just the page where Yo-chan goes, 'He's going to be your brother-in-law!' and it was so absurd I had to read it all. The chibis are hysterical. And I just about died when he managed to give his seme the 'let's be friends' speech and didn't realize he'd done it. 'Why has he been so cold to me after that?' bwahahah!

He is probably the most oblivious person ever. My first page was the one where they showed little Yo-chan giving his sick brother backrubs all night, all with the scary expression on his face. It's one of most hilarious things I've ever read, and Kenichi's potty mouth had me laughing so hard, too. Calling the brother's friend a manwhore is unbeatable. XD I wonder if the Mangaka has done other interesting stuff, too.

New Zealand must be beautiful! And there is this small family business who make and sell the original "elven" cloaks, if I remember correctly. :-)

So glad you liked the manga! <3 Much as I get frustrated by how vastly my artistic vision exceeds my actual ability, that story's my baby, am thrilled to know anyone's reading!

and thanks for the b-day wishes!

Aww, I feel special; I still wish it would have turned out better, though- but if I finish the other plotbunny that's been floating around in my head, it might make up for it... ^_~ (Ya, I was only supposed to reply to this, like, a week ago... no to go tell your mother how great hers was... ^_^)
