X Never Marks the Spot

Verily, I am blessed - don't know how I did on my oral exam (don't want to know, honestly) but I know awesome people. First lady_karasu wrote me adorable OP sickfic, complete with Chopper-snuggles. And then stitcher2ficcer gave me birthday BanGin torture. Of a sort. A special sort. Wtih an agenda, even. Really, too silly, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you~!

Meanwhile, if you're in the mood for Boys Love, Gurechawanaidene is the silliest I've read since Chintsubu, featuring the most oblivious uke who has ever lived. If I were more motivated I would make a mood icon set entirely of the Yo-chan chibi shots.

And I am not going to take a hiatus from Illicit Miracles this winter like I have for the past couple years. I have another 10 pages scripted at least, I am going to get to Chris, dammit it! Artistic slump or not, I will prevail! (My creativity is so seasonal, it curls up and hibernates during the winter months. Stupid solar-powered muse. Where can I get one that runs on batteries?)

For those who might be interested, my webcomic Illicit Miracles is back in business, with 2 new pages and more to come. Feels good to be back with those chars again. It's odd that once I drift out of a fandom, it's rare for me to come back to it completely; but I seem to be able to put my own stuff on hold indefinitely and then return to it charged and ready to go. If a touch impatient with how slow it's going. Have gotten to Miguel, almost to Chris...

I didn't even know it had been optioned! I mean, it only makes sense, I guess, since musicals are slowly trickling back into theaters, but still...somehow I have a hard time imagining it as a movie, it's so very personally intense, if the actors aren't there to actually look you in the eye...huh.
