xparrotAfter a four month hiatus and a two week delay due to keenspace being a pain (you get what ya pay for, when it comes to free hosting), my webmanga Illicit Miracles is back, with two new pages and the promise of more. Tell your friends! Tell your neighbors! Tell your enemies! Go puzzle at the story, make fun of my art. Give Adam a hug, he probably needs one. Give Seth a hug just because. Give Laszlo a hug because bad guys can angst, too. Nick'll be back in a few more pages, Chris is coming into the picture soon, and the story is finally moving. Action, drama, romance, secret scientific programs left over from X-files, and a new pastel bondage layout...how can you go wrong?

Date: 2004-02-18 06:24 pm (UTC)Folks don't notice Nick's ears that much...they're not quite odd enough to stand out as more than an unusual physical trait. Like a birthmark, people probably are embarassed to call attention to them. Folks don't notice the yellow eyes either, 'cuz most people find they have trouble looking him in the eyes at all...
fan art? fan art would make emilie happy beyond the meaning of the word! ^_____^
and more Darkness Visible will be coming...sooner or later...along with everything else I'm swearing to finish...

Hmmm.... I'll have to start bugging you to write more to DV soon. Believe me, I'm quite skilled at poking people repeatedly with sharp, pointy sticks until I get the satisfactory results. ^_~ ph34r.

Date: 2004-02-19 12:15 am (UTC)Chris is Seth's twin sister -- that's why Adam reacts so strongly to Seth's face.
Adam is Lilim (I think that's how you spell it; anyway, descendant of Lilith rather than Eve), or all humans are, but either way, not of our species. I'm guessing Adam's Lilim, because the demon blood fits with the powers and maybe with Nick wanting to meet him.
Nick's a demon. Biggest possibility for angst: loving a demon dooms one to Hell, so he has to make sure Seth hates him before he dies.
The cat and the dogs were sent by a witch; she desires Adam for the same reasons Nick does. Nick could make fish bait out of her, but only at the expense of blowing his own cover from the Powers that Be.
Nick wants Adam to open something that's been sealed against humans and demons, but not Lilim (because Lilim are so rare the angels forgot).
Of the human cast, only the girl has any magical potential.
Chris won't contact Seth because she can't bear for him to see how being used in the project changed her.
It's been a fun read so far, and I'm really looking forward to reading more when it comes out.
