One of my delightful birthday presents was the just-released Eyeshield artbook "Field of Colors." While the color art of ES21 isn't as gorgeous as some (I'm spoiled by the likes of Odacchi and Ayamine-sensei) it can be quite pretty...you know. For a football manga. Most of the pictures are color spreads from Shounen Jump, so I'd seen many of them already in the scanlations. But a few were new to me. As promised I scanned a few favorites to share, for anyone interested. Some cute Devil Bats group shots, plus miscellaneous others (tragically, only a couple just of Hiruma, but oh! so worth it...)

Feel free to use them for icons, wallpaper, whatever. And my apologies for the quality of some of these - the book's got a tight spine so scanning the two-page spreads is tricky. If I had the cash I'd just buy another copy and rip it open...

Hi X-Parrot. I don't want to sound gushy or anything but here goes: I'm a great fan of your fanfics especially one called Safeguard about the Kaiba brothers. I've heard rumours that you're discontinuing this story? Is that true? (I hope not). I know you're obsessed with this new football anime, but please don't forget Yu Gi Oh, or its diehard fans (gives winning smile). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE write another chapter soon. It would just make the GREATEST birthday present EVER (it's on the 18th of Nov), including the car and the mansion (gives a hopeful smile in parent's directions). Love your work, please update soon.

Ahhhh, where did such a rumor come from? I swear, I am not discontinuing Safeguard, or any of my other fics. It may take me a while to write the end (over 3 years in the case of one Saiyuki fic I just finished... ^^;) but write it I will, you have my promise. Even though I'm very fond of Eyeshield 21, I still love the Kaiba bros...no worries!

Glad you've been enjoying the fic, and while I can't promise to have the next chapter up in time for your birthday (early happy birthday! ^_^) it will be up soon - I hope you'll like it!
