sv/ss fic, part the end

And here we are at the end of the story. Now is probably the time to point out that this fic is actually a direct sequel to this fic, which was written some four years ago (and thus no longer matches with current SV canon, but what can you do? Besides ignore current canon, which is the most satisfying way to deal with it anyway, imho.) I may have neglected to mention this earlier to avoid giving away most of this story.
I might write more in this general universe. It's one of my fave explanations of Lex, and I rather wish more fics would write him thusly. It's such a fun way to handle canon. And hey, it makes at least as much sense as the smartest man in the world failing to figure out that Superman + bad glasses - extra-strength hair mousse = Clark Kent.
According to Plan, all parts
PG, futurefic; Smallville/Static Shock crossover, + vague mentions of Justice League
Read it on AO3

And how his and Clark's relationship evolved, of course! (More fic, maybe?) Was this Lex ever really a villain, or has his villain persona been a scam from the start?

Date: 2007-02-20 05:30 am (UTC)The original story (linked at top) had a little more mention of how this happened; it was a scam from the start. Lex saw his destiny a-comin' and decided to follow it on *his* terms...
I like your Clex-verse
Date: 2007-02-19 11:21 pm (UTC)I agree that the best way to deal with canon is to ignore it. I'm a member of the "Nothing After Second Season Actually Happened" club :)

Date: 2007-02-20 05:35 am (UTC)Heh, I'll sign up for that club. I am partial to part of 3rd season (more Clex hugs! & Shattered/Asylum is some of the best SV has to offer) but...I was a happier fangirl when the Clex scenes were giddy and cute and the HoYay was so blatant you could taste it ^^

Really good stuff. Thanks!

Date: 2007-02-20 05:41 am (UTC)Plots...eheh. I'm impressed by authors who can write long pieces without much plot...I require something myself to keep the story moving! If I don't actually try to come up with a plot they tend to just appear on their own ^^; (mostly comes of being a hurt/comfort fan, I suspect; one needs to do *something* to get the "h" going. Now even when I'm not writing h/c it still tends to slip in...)

Date: 2007-02-20 02:59 pm (UTC)Dood right now with SV canon, Lex either have to forget everything about Clark or knows Superman=Clark Kent and doesn't do anything with the information.
XD Why didn't you mentioned John Glover guest starred in an episode of Numb3rs when you were pimping it? I thought I was going to die of oxygen deprivation from laughing so hard.

Date: 2007-02-20 03:36 pm (UTC)Yeah, unless Lex takes a major whallop to the head and gets amnesia (and that would render all 6 seasons of the show pretty much pointless!) he's going to have to recognize Superman. I've read several fic that have that be the final straw that breaks him, Clark coming clean to the world (in a manner of speaking) before confessing to Lex. I think Lex might just decide to reject him entirely after that betrayal - "Clark Kent is dead to me," and focus all his rage on Superman...
Hee! I forgot JG was in it! The wacky psychic, right? I hadn't seen SV for a couple seaons when I got into Numb3rs, so while I recognized him it didn't stand out in my mind... XD

Date: 2007-02-21 05:49 am (UTC)But Lex might decide that "Clark Kent" is the lie, that "Superman" is the only one who ever was real...
In my happy place, SV actually stars MR & JG, and everyone else are just supporting players ^^

Dood, you've just raised a zombie bunny that's been a few years dead. Maybe I should take a look at my notes to see if there's anything I can salvage, or take a shotgun to it. XD
I'll happily sign up and just watch MR and JG, okay and maybe TW because he's so pretty. Doesn't Clark already have less screen time than Lana as it is? At least that's the feeling I have.

Date: 2007-02-20 07:51 pm (UTC)Having the story told from Robert's POV worked very well to slowly reveal Luthor's character... Lex is so damn cool in this fic! I'd enjoy seeing more in this 'verse. :)
