xparrotSee, this is why Doctor Who so totally trumps Smallville - DW's head writer, in the podcast episode commentary for "Last of the Time Lords", on the Doctor's relationship with his arch-nemesis (a one-time friend gone crazy-take-over-the-universe evil, sound familiar?)
