vid rec to the max!

So gnine has spent the last few weeks throwing her heart and soul into a vid, and finally, finally has it ready for show. It's Rodney McKay to TSO's "What Is Eternal", and yeah, I'm the beta/midwife for these things (holding her hand through all those Adobe Premiere birthing pangs) - but really, this is pretty spectacular.

If you liked SGA's "The Last Man" - or for that matter, if you hated it - don't miss this one. It's the episode re-imagined, what we saw, or what we wanted to see, and more besides; this is Rodney McKay, and everything his life and his city and his family means to him:

I say this not only because I know how much time went into this - I'm not sure of the exact hours, but put it this way, I wrote over 30,000 words of fic while she was at work on it - but because I myself often hesitate to comment on vids, as I embarrassingly never know what to say and fear the vidder won't appreciate vaguely complimentary affection. I can guarantee that in this case, with this vidder, if all you can do is c&p "freaking awesome" (because damn, it is) - that will make gnine's day!)

You're welcome! I'm terribly biased, being the beta and all (and I pushed her to do it, once she had the general idea in mind), but seriously, isn't it gorgeous? ^^

It is - I've watched it a half dozen times already. Wow. :) I haven't had a vid grab me like this for a while. The placement of the clips, the timing, it just gave me shivers.
