the fandom sunshine happy squee~! post
Aug. 2nd, 2007 10:48 pmSo I've been hanging out in Doctor Who fandom, and HP fandom, to say nothing of SV fandom, and there's a lot of negativity there, folks disappointed with things in their canon or fandom or whatever. And I find myself getting worked up arguing the case of creators or chars, or else joining the ranting and criticizing and wanking. Not that there's anything wrong with any of that; I enjoy a good reasonable debate, from either side.
But sometimes it gets stressful, and I need to be reminded of why I fan. So, comment here about something in fandom that makes you squee, any fandom, anything, no matter how silly - something that makes you happy, that's why you're a fan to begin with. Something everyone likes, something nobody else does - no arguing, just shared squee (and by all means include links/visual aids!)
Moments of squee:
The last 20 minutes of "Last of the Time Lords" - Martha~! Doctor~! Master~! Murray Gold~!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, pg. 605 (US ed.) - "Am I too late? Has it started? I only just found out, so I--I--"

"For I may hope, may I not, sir, that you will allow me to remain permanently in your service?"
--Jeeves to Wooster, Much Obliged, Jeeves (don't have the book yet, but found the quote)
Permanently! It's practically a marriage proposal! Squee~!
